Oh goodness!

So every night after we put Evelyn in her crib, Nathaniel and I get to listen to her little mind work as she talks,sings, yells, and screams. Tonight was quite funny...

Evelyn: "Mommmmyyyyy! Mommmmyyyy! Are you?" (repeated 6 times)
Translation: Mommy, where are you?

Evelyn: Mommmmyyyyy, Roarrrrrrrrr.
Translation: I am frustrated because Mom isn't coming to get me, so I am going to imitate Mom's sound when she's frustrated and cute my way out of this situation.

Evelyn in sing song voice: "...can't you sEEE( high pitched)....yes sirEEE.... happy familEEE"
Translation: They'll definitely take me out of bed for singing this song and tell me how cute I am.

She was right.

Who da monkey?

So Evelyn loves the song:

5 little monkeys swinging in the trees.
Teasing Mr.Alligator "Can't catch me! Can't catch me!"
Along comes Mr. Alligator and snaaaapppped (this part you snap at someone with your hand)
that monkey right out of that tree!

So we were singing this as a family and I was about snap at Evelyn but at the last moment I snapped at Nathaniel and Evelyn exclaimed "Daddy is a MONKEY!"

Growing Girls

SO both Evelyn and Grace went to see the doctor recently and here are their percentiles:

Evelyn Pearl
Height- 87% (34.25")
Weight- 83% (28lb 5 oz)
Head circumference- 97% (49.5 cm) now I understand why I struggle with getting her shirts on and off

Grace Michelle
Height- 72% (22")
Weight- 91% (11lb 8 oz) Gotta love the Buddha belly!
Head circumference- 74% ( 38.5 cm)

We're styling now

I don't know if you all noticed but my blog was in the need of a new make-over big time. That dark blue was BAD!!!! Ruth (my sister-in-law) actually helped me find the website to make that happen in which I am deeply grateful as I am sure you all are too. Thanks Ruth! You're awesome. Oh and I also have to give credit to my sleeping girls who helped make this tremendous make-over possible as well. :)
